Welcome to the 2025 Samba Fogo Dance Audition page! We are looking for passionate and dedicated Samba dancers to perform in our Spring Concert April 10 & 11 at Rose Wagner, and perform with us in our Summer shows.
We will be holding only one audition for the 2026 Samba Fogo Dance Company:

Previous experience dancing Brasilian Samba is helpful. Auditioning dancers must have availability for training, rehearsals, and concert preparations listed below:
SAMBA FOGO 2026 SPRING SCHEDULE
Saturdays, January 3 - 31 (excluding January 24)
Company Rehearsal for Spring Concert 1:00-3:00pm
Saturdays, February 7 - March 28
Company Class 11a-12:30p
Spring Concert Rehearsal 1:00-3:00p
Tuesdays, January 6 - March 31
Company Rehearsal for Spring Concert 6:30-8:30pm
We will start working on our Spring Concert material Saturdays and Tuesdays in January. Company members will receive February - March classes and rehearsals for free, and are expected to attend all Saturday classes and then stay afterward to attend all Saturday rehearsals. Tuesday rehearsals are also required. Spring show casting will be based on class & rehearsal attendance.
Optional: Thursdays, February 5 - March 26, 6:30-8:30pm. For those wanting to push themselves and engage in more rehearsal time, we will hold optional Thursday rehearsals February - March, free of charge.

Friday & Saturday, April 10&11 - show nights. Call time is 5:30pm.
SAMBA FOGO DANCE COMPANY 2026 SUMMER SCHEDULE
Saturdays, May 2 - 30 (five-class series)
Class 11a-12:30p
Rehearsal 12:45-1:30p
Discounted company rate: $60 full series
June 20 - July 25 (six-class series)
Class 11a-12:30p
Rehearsal 12:45-1:30p
Discounted company rate: $75 full series
Throughout Summer 2025, we plan to keep Saturday classes running, and hold a short 45-minute rehearsal after class, to brush up on Summer material. Company members will receive each class series for a discounted rate and the expectation is that you will continue attending classes and rehearsals regularly throughout the Summer, in order to keep growing, and keep the material fresh in your body and mind. Company members are expected to perform for at least three Summer shows, in addition to the Spring Concert. Summer shows pay an average of $50 per show for full company members. *If you need further financial assistance, please let us know and we can look into work-trade possibilities.
August 1 - December 31
No rehearsals, classes are optional. There may still be performances scheduled during this time. Fall serves as a bit of downtime for those company members needing a break. Any classes offered will be optional, unlike the Spring and Summer classes and rehearsals which are required for all company members.
